David is a native of Nacogdoches, Texas and a sixth generation Texan.  He attended Stephen F. Austin State University, after serving four years in the Marine Corp, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry.  David has double “A” certification from the TCEQ in Water and Wastewater.  He came to work for the Conservation District after working for the City of Nacogdoches for 13 years where he managed the Water Utilities.
